This lodge has exclusive access points on both the upper and lower Kalum River, plus ten minutes away is the world famous Skeena River. Fly-fishing for steelhead on the Skeena is considered to be the best steelheading in the world. The Skeena watershed holds the world record for both steelhead on a fly and conventional tackle. 20-pound steelhead are not uncommon, 30-pound steelhead are caught most years, and record 40- pound class fish are landed from time to time.
As well as the world’s largest strain of wild steelhead, the Skeena also holds two world records for king salmon. A 92 and a 99-pound king salmon were recently landed here. From late July through August, it’s possible to catch all five species of salmon, along with steelhead, Dolly Varden and trout. Fish from 20’ jet boats, 19’ fiberglass drift boats. Short hikes into hot spots on streams.
Located by the Kalum River, this intimate lodge has two acres of lawn and gardens surrounded by old growth forest. The lodge accommodates up to eight guests and serves home-style meals, as well as seafood. They also offer jet boat tours, wildlife viewing and trips to native cultural sites.
