Giant Steelhead

Catch and release is strictly enforced.
There are no roads on the Sustut system. Anglers who are lucky enough to fish for the giant steelhead of the Sustut, must fly in by plane or helicopter and then must travel the river by jet boat or helicopter. With a Class One status, the Sustut is deemed so rare and valuable that all non-resident anglers must be guided. Catch and release is strictly enforced.
In August, fish for the largest run of king salmon in the Skeena system, averaging 20 to 30-pounds. By September steelhead begin to appear. The run builds throughout October. Season closes November 1st. 25 to 30-pound steelhead have recently been landed, including a buck of 33¾-pounds. The lodge has three new 17’ jet boats with 115 horsepower motors.
The lodge is nestled on the banks of the Sustut River between two productive fishing drifts. The main lodge is for dining and tying flies. Home cooked meals feature seasonal delicacies and fresh baked breads. Private and cozy riverside cabins. The lodge holds nine guests.

meals, guided fishing, and charter flight from Smithers to lodge.

$350.00), accommodations and meals in Smithers, liquor, pop, tobacco, gratuities
