Tsimane Golden Dorado Fishing
Secure Lodge
At Tsimane's Secure Lodge, you’ll fish Secure's medium sector for three days and Secure’s high sector for three days, with the chance to explore the two small tributaries—the Maniquisito and Ashahana.
The Secure River is one of the main rivers of the TIPNIS National Park. It is the most important tributary of the Isiboro River, the Madeira River, and the Amazon. This river is born in the confluence of the Nutusama and Cascarrillas streams and flows 300 miles until it reaches the Isiboro River. Secure Lodge is the furthest upstream of Tsimane's three lodges, situated on the headwaters of the Secure River. The Secure is home to Tsimane’s best pacu fishing and holds big dorado downstream from the Lodge.
Secure Lodge Program:

Trips Include Six Days of Guided Fishing.
You’ll fish for three days at Secure Medium sector and three days at Secure’s High sector, with the chance to explore the two small tributaries—the Maniquisito and Ashahana. Downstream from Secure Lodge, you’ll fish the Cachuelas area, a line of rapids and rocks almost two miles long holding big dorados. In the upper section of the Secure River, you’ll target pacu and dorados.
The Secure fishery allows anglers extremely close and exciting contact with the jungle. The means of transportation are local handmade dugout canoes (cuambas) powered by pushing poles or engines, but the fishing is 100% wet wading, with many sightcasting opportunities.
