About SET Fly Fishing: After many years of successfully working together, Andes Drifters (US-based) and Parana on the Fly (Argentina-based) officially merged to create a new company, SET Fly Fishing. The company has five exclusive lodges in Argentina, focusing on quality trout and golden dorado fly fishing adventures.
The Following Applies to All Packages:
Season: November through May, with peak fishing January thru May and September through December.
Meals: Delicious meals served with fine Argentine wines and beer.
Wi-Fi: is available at all lodges, but not at deluxe tent camps.
Boats: Flats-style boats with 40 HP motors and poling platforms are used.
Guides: Knowledgeable, English-speaking, professional guides. Two anglers per boat and guide.
Equipment: No fishing equipment is provided. A detailed gear and tackle list is included in our confirmation packet.
Flies: All necessary flies are provided by your guide.
Fishing License is included in the package.
Getting Here: From Buenos Aires, you'll take a 2 hour and 15-minute flight to the Chapelco Airport in San Martin de los Andes in northwest Patagonia.

The Golden Dorado Combo
Golden Dorado, Pacu, and Pira-Pita
New 2024 Hosted Week with Brad Staples. You'll fish the Upper Parana River for three days and the Ibera Wetlands for three days and stay at two different lodges. (There is the option of adding Setu'u Lodge in Isoro Marsh, depending on water levels.) A 30-minute charter flight between lodges is included in the package. On the Upper Parana River, you'll cast surface and sub-surface flies to logs and structure in the clear, stable tailwaters of the Yacyreta Hydroelectric Dam and stay at Itati Lodge. At the Ibera Wetlands, you'll also fish for golden dorado. You'll tent camp two nights deep in the marsh and stay two nights at La Alondra ’i Lodge.

Sample Itinerary - Golden Dorado Combo:
Day 1: You'll fly from Buenos Aires to La Alondra´i Lodge. Chef-prepared welcome dinner. Stay at La Alondra´i Lodge.
Day 2 and 3: After breakfast, the guides will drive you to Ibera Wetlands, a 30-45-minute drive. You'll meet the boats, head to the fishing grounds, and stay two nights at camp.
Day 4: After a full day of guided fishing, your guide will drive the group back to La Alondra´i Lodge.
Day 5: Early morning 30-minute flight from La Alondra´i to Itati lodge. You'll fish a full day on the Upper Parana River.
Day 6 and 7: Two full fishing days on the Upper Parana River and lodging at Itati Lodge.
Day 8: You'll take a return flight from Itati Lodge to Buenos Aires.

Itati Lodge - Upper Parana River
Golden Dorado, Pacu, and Pira-Pita
Carolina Skiffs with 90 HP motors are docked a few steps from the Lodge and close to the action. On the Upper Parana River, you'll target golden dorado ranging from 4 to 40-pounds, pacu, and pira-pita. The air-conditioned lodge sits on the banks of the Parana River and accommodates up to ten anglers in five bedrooms. Their professional chef, serves a blend of local flavors and international cuisine. You'll return to the Lodge for lunch. The package includes beer and wine. Wi-Fi access is available.

La Alondra‘i Lodge - Ibera Wetlands
Golden Dorado
The Iberá Wetlands in Corrientes is the second largest freshwater reservoir in the world. SET Fly Fishing has exclusive access to the western boundary of the Ibera Wetlands, so only their eight anglers can experience this natural reserve with exotic birdlife. You'll fish endless miles of gin-clear creeks, channels, and lagoons. Dorado typically ranges from 4 to 15-pounds. Surface patterns are popular here. You will be pampered at La Alondra ’i while enjoying the peaceful setting and excellent cuisine.
